PEOPLE ARE KILLED IN DRC EVERY DAY

Congo Crisis

Conflict and humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo have caused an estimated 5.4 million deaths since 1998. Most perished from disease and malnutrition. In the Kivus, violence continues to rage with women and girls suffering increasingly brutal attacks.

A series of landmark and peer-reviewed studies by the IRC and some of the world’s leading epidemiologists conclude that an estimated 5.4 million people died from conflict-related causes in Congo since 1998. The vast majority were not killed in combat. Most tragically died from malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition--easily preventable and treatable conditions when people have access to health care and nutritious food.

PEOPLE killed in Eeastern DRC

Kinshasa - Nineteen civilians have been killed since December 17 in the strife-torn east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where villages have been torched, several sources said on Monday.

On December 17 and 18, 15 civilians from three families, including women and children, were killed in villages on the Masisi territory in Nord-Kivu province, said a local lawmaker, Nephtali Nkizinkiko.

These killings took place while Congolese army (FARDC) troops were chasing deserters from the National Congress of the Defence of the People (CNDP), a former rebel force that had rallied to the army, Nkizinkiko added.

An unknown number of villagers disappeared during these clashes.

Reached by telephone by AFP, another local member of parliament said that at least four people had been killed by CNDP forces in villages on the Masisi territory since December 24.

"They halt people on the tracks and steal their possessions," said this source, who asked not to be named.

At the beginning of December, more than 150 ex-rebels of the CNDP, led by Colonel Emmanuel Sengiyumva, deserted from the ranks of the FARDC, headed for an unknown destination.

Since then, they have attacked the army and civilians in this region on the border with Rwanda, where several armed groups are active. - Sapa-AFP

LIFE OF CONGOLEESE CHILDREN

People of Eastern DRC are crossing a difficult life ,how to save that people please?
THE LIFE OF PEOPLE IN CAMPS OF MUGUNGA
The people of eastern of the Democratic Republic of Congo, buffeted by years of war, endured until now days, more armed conflict and relate of violations of National and International laws since 1997 until to day.
Horrific attacks on civilian, including murders, widespread rape, and the forced recruitment and use of child soldiers, increased following political agreements that were supposed to bring these abuses to a halt.
Because of these horrific situations, more people have been displaced from their home and other continues to be displaced.
Case of this picture of some people in Mugunga
Some people contacted in camps said: we are crossing many difficulties in camps; some of us are sicking, other are dying because of bad conditions.

peace in DRC/secirité

La Situation Humanitaire de la RDC<
L’EST de la RDC devenu pendant plusieurs années un champs de batail,les pertes des vies humaines ont été prisent comme une habitude, cad la vie n’avais plus une considération chez un Congolais ou Congolaises de l’Est du Pays ;
